About Redefine Alliance

Redefine Alliance invests in businesses that reveal and reinforce the talent of people breaking through barriers to employment.
In 1997, when we were founded, Redefine supported 14 businesses across the San Francisco Bay Area. Nearly 30 years later, Redefine is the country’s largest consultancy in employment social enterprise, providing capital, capacity, and community to over 399 enterprises across 44 states and DC. Together, these businesses have generated over $4 billion in revenue reinvested in their employees, and employed over 176,000 people.

WHAT IS REDEFINE ACADEMY?


Redefine Academy is a centralized digital platform that delivers structured online learning experiences, all tailored to the needs of employment social enterprises (ESEs) and Redefine’s broader network.

Through curated courses, interactive tools, and certification trainings, the Academy provides skill-building opportunities, knowledge sharing, and professional development resources. This platform empowers learners with accessible, on-demand, high-quality training aligned with their goals — whether advancing careers, onboarding new employees, or enhancing operational expertise.

Redefine Academy works in tandem with our other platform Redefine Workshop, to support employment social enterprises through practical tools and in-depth learning. While Redefine Workshop serves as a digital hub of actionable resources such as templates, overviews, and deep dives, Redefine Academy provides structured e-learning experiences and coursework to build skills and support long-term growth.

These platforms are a key part of Redefine’s commitment to sharing what we’ve learned with the broader field and advancing inclusive employment through thought leadership.
